From the vibrant streets of Copenhagen to some of Denmark’s biggest stages, Emil Steensen is a rising star in the dance scene. A dancer, choreographer, and teacher with an undeniable presence, Emil is known for his versatility, powerful energy, and unique ability to connect movement with raw expression.
Trained in multiple styles – from Jazz Funk and Commercial Pop to Hip Hop, House, Heels, and Gentlemen’s style – Emil has shaped himself into a truly multifaceted artist. He completed his professional dance education at Studio20 Copenhagen, where he immersed himself in intensive training with some of Denmark’s top choreographers as well as internationally renowned teachers from around the world.
After graduating, Emil quickly began making a name for himself in the industry. His credits already include working with major artists such as Medina, Outlandish, and Kedde, and most recently he lit up the stage alongside the Danish breakthrough artist Bbybites at both SPOT Festival and Syd for Solen 2025. These opportunities have not only showcased his talent but also positioned him as one of the most exciting young performers emerging from Denmark right now.
As a teacher, Emil brings the same passion to the studio as he does to the stage. His classes are charged with high energy, fierce performance quality, and an atmosphere that pushes dancers to give their all. Specializing in Commercial and Feminine styles, his choreographies are bold, expressive, and always delivered with that “full out” commitment he’s known for.
Still early in his career, Emil is already carving out a strong reputation as both a performer and a creator. With his drive, charisma, and hunger for growth, he’s on track to inspire the next generation of dancers while continuing to build his own path on both national and international stages.
