SANDY - Danslärare
Dance is one of the biggest passions in Sandy´s life – she has performed in shows since she was seven years old, participated in cheerleading in her adolescence and later linked her university studies with formal education in oriental dance during seven years and contemporary dance (two years) in her country of origin, Ecuador. She has represented her university and an Oriental dance group in countless shows and national competitions, where she has also obtained multiple awards in solo and group performances. After her arrival in Sweden, she joined MDA, and she is currently a member of bellasitas.
Sandy has experience in salsa, bachata, African dance, cumbia, andean folklore, hiphop and poledance. When she lived and studied in Spain, she also educated herself further in flamenco. In her artistic life, she has worked as a performer, model, choreographer and dance teacher in different and experimental areas of arts like arts installations, short-movies and photography.
Considering dance as one of the main ways to get to know a culture and explore your own being, Sandy has a special interest in representative dances from different countries. That is how oriental dance got into her soul. Oriental dance has a lot of different styles that explore your soul, femininity and sensuality in different ways.
